ADVERTISEMENT Recall that in a statement issued by ASUU on Thursday, August 18, after the resumed meeting of the federal government and ASUU over the lingering strike action by the union, the Union president revealed that it rejected the “award” of salary by the federal government. SMACIN GRACEFULL TEAM ASUU: Teachers Who Join Strike Will Not Be Paid — Education Minister Minister of Education, Mallam Adamu Adamu has again warned that members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) who joined its ongoing strike will not be paid their salary. ADVERTISEMENT * Speaking to State House Correspondents in Abuja on Thursday, Adamu said the lecturers would not receive salary for the six months for which they did perform their duties. ADVERTISEMENT Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, who revealed this at the weekly briefing organised by the Presidential Communications Team, said ASUU insisted that its members must be paid for the period of the strike.
