People Advised Me To Kill My Physically Challenged Son — Singer Jodie opens Up

If you danced to Joy Eseoghene Odiete, better known as Jodiebig ,'s song Kuchi Kuchi, which was published in 2010, you should be aware that the singer is currently going through a difficult period in her life.

The singer, who has a 6-year-old special needs child, has spoken out about the hardships she has had to endure in order to ensure that her child is not denied anything in life because of his condition.

People Advised Me To Kill My Physically Challenged Son — Singer Jodie opens Up

While addressing her suffering in an open letter uploaded on her Instagram page, the singer revealed that she has had to sell beaded jewelry, sell hair care items, beg, and borrow money to care for her child.

She went on to say that because of her son's disabilities, some strangers had counseled her to murder him.

"This message is not for Nigeria's Kings, Queens, or Men and Women of Substance," she said. This letter is addressed to the sons and daughters, slaves, security agents, and concubines... ANYONE for whom the Kings and Queens have a warm spot in their hearts for their viewpoints.

I would have hired a media crew to create a captivating and appealing video, but pardon me... I'm afraid I can't afford it right now.

"I am not lazy." In 2010, I wrote and performed a song called Kuchi Kuchi, which Kings and Queens have listened to and appreciated. I'm making this appeal by appealing to the soft spot that song may have created.

"I've sold beaded jewelry in offices like Total, Noah's Ark, DDB, and others for the past six years." I've worked as a salesperson for hair care products. I've pleaded. I took out a loan.

Nigerians are generous people. Even Bellanaija has sent me a hundred thousand dollars... SEVERAL TIMES, I have benefited from Air Peace's Thursday session with the Chairman as a social responsibility to help the less fortunate.

"The truth is, I am nobody, but years ago, I was inspired to sing a song even though I didn't know who I was – a song that still resonates today." What are the chances? Perhaps the essence of Kuchi Kuchi was not to reply to the silent screams of mothers who gave birth to special needs children, but to respond to the silent cries of mothers who gave birth to special needs children.

Perhaps its core was to speak up for the blood of special needs children who were spilt IN SECRET by helpless mothers who had no other option. I know this because strangers have counseled me to kill or abandon my son, claiming that such children are sent to squander money."

"My money have been devoured," the singer continued, referring to the difficulties she has endured during the last six years. Because I am a beggar, my friends have abandoned me. Every morning, I have fresh debts. But I'm a mother who would rather DIE than let her son go hungry.

"Children with special needs do not eat regular meals." Children with special needs require a great deal of medical, emotional, and other support. Because it is not their fault that they were born with special needs, they require the assistance of well-established world-class organizations.

"In my case, the hospital where I gave birth to my kid played a role. I'm sorry I didn't go to a general hospital. It's over. I'm sorry, but there's nothing I can do about it right now."
